Recently, an aspiring architect contacted me with the following question.

“I was wondering if there’s any online courses that can help me reach that goal (become an architect) or gaining credits that I could transfer to another school.”

My reply was somewhat limited because I have never took an online architecture course but given the past few months, it may be worth to know the resources

EdX offers free online architecture courses and MOOCs from top institutions around the world. Study architecture history, urban planning, architectural design, and more. MIT’s introductory course, A Global History of Architecture, is a perfect starting point for anyone with a general interest in architecture and design.
